Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 continues their evolution to the cloud with optimization for the Azure platform, an open service based architecture, seamless Office 365 integration, efficient multi-tenant provisioning, broadened employee usage with self-service features, and simple to configure business process workflows. Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 is also the accumulation of 120 features delivered since Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 with features being released to customers on a six month cadence.
The release of Dynamics GP 2015 also updates the features that were new in GP 2013 R2 release, including identity management, workflow, and Business Analyzer. It also adds requisition management and employee self-service app for time management that are driven by workflow.
The release now supports single sign on through integration with Microsoft Azure Active Directory, according to Microsoft, which will help maintain authentication across Microsoft Dynamics GP, Office 365, and other cloud-based applications.
This initial release of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 is the English language release. If you are currently using FR CAN or SPLATAM (including the process of payroll and Canadian Payroll T4’s), you should wait to install Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 until those languages are available. These languages are expected to be available in the first half of 2015 calendar year.
As previously communicated by Microsoft; Business Portal and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 runtime will be discontinued from Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015. For Business Portal modules, similar functionality will be available within the core code base of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015. However, Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 will not be available to customers purchasing Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 or those upgrading to the same.
