Hey everyone! It's Monica, and I'm thrilled to share some of the top highlights from the Sage Intacct 2025 release 3. This release is all about giving you back your most valuable asset: time. With powerful new features and smart automations, it's making it easier for every team to work smarter, not harder.
Let's dive in!
Account receivable (AR)
There are great updates to AR. You can now easily record customer refunds for negative invoices and credit adjustments directly from the AR menu.

And my favorite new shortcut? A new link from the Customers list lets you pull up all open invoices for a specific customer, so you can quickly process payments with fewer clicks.
Purchasing
Sage Intacct has added two powerful new features to your purchasing workflow. First, you can now combine multiple purchase orders into a single vendor invoice, a feature previously limited to construction customers.
But what I'm most excited about is the AI-powered automation for vendor invoices that don’t have a matching purchase order. The system will automatically identify the document type and draft a transaction for you, saving you a ton of manual effort!
You have the flexibility to use both matching and non-matching automation or just one, based on what works best for you.
Account payable (AP)
This release focuses on keeping your AP approvals moving smoothly. You can now delegate bill approvals when an approver is out of office, preventing bottlenecks.
A new "Pay" link directly from the Vendors list lets you see all open bills for a vendor at once and process a payment.
Plus, Sage is introducing Vendor Payments powered by MineralTree, which will automate your AP payments and eliminate the need for manual check printing.
Sage Intelligent Time
The best news for anyone managing payroll and project billing? Sage Intelligent Time can now automatically calculate overtime in timesheets. You can create and assign overtime rules, and the system will automatically compute both regular and overtime hours, ensuring compliant payroll operations.
The timesheet entry grid is now customizable, too, so you can personalize it by dragging and dropping dimensions, reordering columns, and editing entry information to fit your specific needs.

Credit card automation
If you're an accountant who handles a high volume of credit card transactions and employee expenses, this feature is going to be a game-changer for you. It allows you to link electronic receipts directly to credit card transactions from your bank feed.
This creates a seamless, automated workflow for employee expense reports. For even more flexibility, you can split a single credit card transaction into multiple expense lines, making it easy to categorize charges like airfare and meals separately.
Contract enhancements
For SaaS companies, there are some great targeted improvements.
- Reassign Dimensions: You can now reassign dimensions on a contract line even if the contract is in progress and has already been billed. This allows you to correct errors or update information without affecting past transactions.
- Edit Reversal Dates: The ability to edit reversal dates on AR payments gives you more control and flexibility over contract accounting.
- Update Contract Status: You can now update the status of a contract to "Renewed" or "Not renewed", giving you a clearer picture of your customer base and better insight into renewal data.

Inventory enhancements
If you're the person who handles picking, packing, and shipping, you're going to love these updates. They're all about making your life easier.
- Flexible fulfillment: You can now partially fill an order and have the system automatically track the remaining inventory that needs to be fulfilled.
- Inventory reporting: The Inventory Valuation Report now includes a new Show transaction totals option. By enabling this, you can easily identify valuation changes within a specific period and pinpoint transactions that might be causing fluctuations. This makes reconciling your inventory and investigating discrepancies much easier.
- Warehouse Transfers: To ensure more complete inventory tracking, Sage Intacct is introducing new Warehouse Transfer transaction definitions. These robust new definitions provide a more comprehensive record of inventory activity than the old "Inventory Transfer" definitions. We encourage you to start using them now, as the older definitions will not be supported in 2026.
Coming soon: the product roadmap
Here's a peek into the future, a few features are now available in early adopter mode:
- Line-level matching: AP automation for purchasing documents is getting a new early adopter feature for line-level matching.
- Sage Copilot Close Assistant: A new tool to help automate the financial close process.
- Advanced Ownership Consolidation: The equity method is now supported for consolidation.
Important reminders
Just a couple of final reminders to ensure everything runs smoothly with this new release.
- Email domain validation: The email domain validation that was previously postponed is now in effect. If you haven’t updated your settings, your emails may not be sent from your Sage Intacct site.
- Legacy payments: Please note that legacy AR payment methods like PayPal and Authorize.net will be retired in November2025. If you currently use these, it’s a good time to start planning for this change and explore new payment options.
- Permissions and support: Remember to update your user permissions to access these new features. For a full list of all the updates, you can always check the full release notes. If you need help with configuration or have questions about how these updates impact your specific workflows, your Customer Success Manager is always here to assist you.
I hope these highlights help you get the most out of the Sage Intacct 2025 release 3.
